- Innovations Partnership with Aberystwyth University
Co-Vertec is pleased to be partnered with the Innovations Department at Aberystwyth University lead by Professor John Draper.
To date we have help design and manufacture a 6 tube home use urine collection and mail pack to be used for the measurement of biomarkers in Elderly Patients to assess their nutritional status.
The aim being to manage their nutritional status so the elderly remain healthy without the need of NHS health services.
These urine collection and mail packs can be viewed and purchased in our Specimen Collection and Mail Packs Product Category.
We are also pleased to report that for the British Science Week 2022 – 14th to 18th March, the Future Foods Programme (funded by the European Regional Development Fund supported by Welsh Government) linked up with us at Co-vertec and other food/drinks companies they have worked with over the last three years, namely Conwy Kombucha, Human Foods, Phytoquest and Chuckling goat.
We provided biofluid collection packs to allow the children and adult to practice collection with fake biofluids (including a prosthetic arm!). The food/drinks companies provided products and expertise, and an interactive stand was delivered with Functional food products (including bubbling kombucha), biofluid collection methods and models of chemicals found within food and biofluids.
